    De Vere pitch / concepts

    Agency Nexus|H Brand De Vere Year 2011

    De Vere approached a number of agencies to tender for a project to help them launch a new-style golf membership. Aside from some traditional press advertising, I worked on what I believed the online presence should be for this new sub brand. As an extremely keen golfer, I wanted to focus on what added-value benefits we could offer members of the new scheme. Rather than a traditional membership, where you pay a yearly fee and are tied to a club, their new product worked on a lower up-front cost which then gave you a number of 'points' which could be spent on rounds of golf at De Vere venues around the country.

    I focused the 'pre-aquisition' side of the site on ease of use; attempting to explain the benefits in a simple a way as possible. Everything was to be plain speaking and honest and set up as to reduce the barriers to entry as quickly as possible. The second side was the 'post-aquistion' site, effectively a members portal. This would focus on making the experience as social as possible, something I believed people would miss from their regular memberships. I was heavily involved in the user-experience and strategy, whilst overseeing the design work for the pitch.
